This is a project which I will be doing over the coming months. The premise of the project is to get statistical information from innocuous information, How far does a comedian travel when on tour? How much revenue can a comedian bring in? from there you can see how much revenue per mile? and just cascade from there when the results are in and just see how much of a random bit of information you can find? Also how the comedians compare to each other. I thank Dave Gorman for giving us the inspiration and so of course he will be the first comedian who will be studied.
A few parameters
1) Time frame = Tours from Sept 1st to December 31st 2018
2) A tour must consist of at least 20 performances
3) When calculating distances travelled it will be from venue to venue. (I simply don't have trackers on the comedians to follow their every moves)
4) When calculating revenues, the capacity of the venue times the cheapest ticket will be used as the calculation. (simply don't have the info on how many of each ticket price, or tickets sold) and this is just for fun so the easiest method.
p.s. also don't be thinking that the comedians will be raking in all this money, there are all the running costs to take out. this is just a guesstimate of how much money a comedian can bring in.
So click the links below for each comedian as they join the study.
